Incidentally, on my Deering long-neck (I still have to tell the last part of my Banjo Story - the FAITHFUL READER would be forgiven for thinking I didn't have a banjo anymore, though stories with happy endings are somewhat trickier to tell), B-flat tuning becomes dGdAB, essentially an octave under standard G tuning. This demonstrates in a nutshell why I like the long-neck so much.
